Current research

"Sustainable agriculture and the Millennium Development Goals: Insights for implementing the IAASTD recommendations"

The objective is to analyze how knowledge, science and technology from the empirical and practical experiences from different agricultural production systems (with emphasis in Latin America) may contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), as recognized and advocated in the International Assessment on Agricutural Knowledge, Science and Tecnology for Development (IAASTD). The findings of this research will be a value to policy makers and development facilitators by relating the key IAASTD findings to concrete examples from agricultural sustainability .
